The building itself is interesting, but what makes this place special is the wonderful view on the Bolsena lake, which can be mostly appreciated from it, and especially from the tower. Highly recommended for the sunset!

This is essentially a viewpoint high over the town of Montefiascone with views over Lago di Bolsena. We did not visit the museum or the pilgrims' tower so cannot comment. You can see the whole lake from up here and it is worth the climb...More

There was supposed to be a festival but with the tourist office closed and no program displayed, it was very hard to figure out. Every one we asked gave us wrong info. After a while we gave up. The museum was interesting. The town ok...More
