El Puente del Comun is a beautiful bridge made of stone with brick arches. As a stonemason who has built two dry stone bridges and is working on a third I have visited many times. The bridge itself is quite stunning, but the planning for something declared a national monument over 50 years ago is appalling. There was no thought put in to preserving the area or even the way things are built around it. Obviously the bridge is not in use, but there is no road leading up to it. The bridge is just plunked there with no access, no place to park. A few hundred yards away we have an amazing castle that once complemented this amazing tableau, until somebody had the bright idea to run a highway bridge between the two. There's no thought to "hey this is a treasure, let's preserve it." The urban designers of the area around this bridge fail miserably, but if you like stonework the bridge is a nice project to visit.…

This bridge is a vestige of the colonial era in Chia and can be seen by car as you drive by or by bycicle since it is near or on the route for cycling in Chia. Good for a few pictures as a souveneir. The river here is already somewhat polluted so don´t stay too long.

This is just a bridge... nothing to be amazed, it looks nice on Christmas because they put ligths on it... but as I said there is not to much to do... so if you want to see it but you don't wanna waste time then you can just take a look when you are going on the highway...
