Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well worth a visit when the roses are in bloom at the end of January. Quite a lovely park on the top end of Norton street.

This is a lovely park in a wonderful part of Sydney. We often pass by this area and this particular spot is one of just a few green oases in a crowded suburb. There are some nice landscaped areas and a playground for children as well as seats to rest your weary bones! Sometimes there are special events held in the park and we have attended a few over the years. It's a "Memorial" park as it commemorates those who sacrificed their lives during war time. It's a nice place to visit if you have the time. There are shops in the vicinity, with most of them being further up along the main street, as well as other streets of Leichhardt.

A well maintained park with wooded areas, pathways and grass. Mature trees with birds. I heard a kookaburra a few times,. Although near a busy road it is quite peaceful there. There’s a children’s playground so maybe you should pick your time if you want quiet.

As the former Balmain Cemetery, it’s dedicated to the original “pioneers” of the area. Aside from a small plaque at a sandstone archway there’s little in the way of information on the site’s past. It’s a leafy and grassy park with small children’s play area and paved walkways. There’s also a war memorial and a modern adaptation of a rotunda. The condition of the toilets were horrible - a mass of flies - clearly rarely cleaned.

Right in the heart of Leichhardt this is a well maintained park commemorating the sacrifices made by our service men and women. The main entrance is impressive and the memorial itself is excellent.
The park offers plenty of places to relax and an excellent children's playground which includes a very safe roundabout.
Lovely park for a picnic or a family get-together.

This is a local park of mine and it's a great place to have picnics, relax or hang out with friends. It's quite big, so you can escape the traffic noise. A highlight is that parts of the park are separated by bushes and trees, so you can relax and have some privacy, while still being in a public space. It's also dog-friendly, so there are often cute dogs there!

This is a really pretty local park, large enough for a picnic, with a children's playground and rosegarden, as well as a pavillion used for local council events - such as the annual Carols in the Park and the occasional public movie screening. It's also lovely to simply take a blanket and soak up some sun. It's not peaceful as there's plenty of air traffic (being Liechhardt!) and there's a cafe across the road for a coffee fix.

A lovely park for relaxing , walking or whatever. It's a contrast at this end of Norton Street compared to the hustle and bustle and grunge around Parramatta Road, it's a little bit of peace in a crowded inner city suburb.
