Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful place in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. 13rd-century castle, with a variety of bird life in the moat, where boats are available - at your own risk. Rooms classically finished, as suited for a castle, but with all amenities.
Attentive service and a varied and tasty breakfast make it an easy choice.

We visited Fyn and Gudme and stayed at Broholm Slot. Housekeeping, dinner and breakfast were very good! The restaurang have a well stocked winecellar. We are very pleased with our visit.

We did not eat or sleep here, but saw the castle, as we were driving by, so we thought we would make a stop to explore.
It was not easy to find the right place to park (I'm still not sure we did), but finally we parked and took a stroll around the place. Maintenance was in process, and I'm not sure the restaurant was open, but a waiter invited us inside the castle to have a walk through the living rooms - very interesting, and free!

Try the 5 course dinner with chefs selection of wines. Pro tip: rent the tower room so you don’t have to drive home. If you have been sleeping on the couch, this will get you back in the double bed. I promise!

After two prior terrific visits, we decided to book all of Broholm for our wedding. Our friends and family from both Denmark and the US were treated to a spectacular event, with food and service like we have never experienced before.
For well over a year before the event, the castle assigned a point of contact, Nanne, with whom we went through event-order revisions until everything was as we wanted it. Broholm recommended several subcontractors, but we also picked a few of our own - no matter, Broholm worked with all of them to ensure flawless event execution.
We enjoyed a small private dinner on Thursday, a rehearsal dinner on Friday, and then the main event on Saturday. Each meal was executed with grace, precision, beauty and great local flavor. Kim in the kitchen ensured perfect wine pairings, and made sure those with food allergies were properly taken care of too.
We had packed the weekend with events, taking full advantage of the Fairy Tale trail surrounding the beautiful moat, the archeological museum, wine tasting, row boat on the moat, croquet on the lawn and more. Again, the castle came through with perfect support as needed.
Kenneth, the smiling waiter, served at the wedding dinner, and expertly mixed custom cocktails until 4:30 AM, when the party finally went to bed, just as the sun started rising.
We can’t say enough about Broholm - they clearly have the chops to handle a large event, but when we stayed there twice before, execution was also flawless, even just for the two of us. We will always return to Broholm whenever we go back to Denmark.

Please read review for Broholm Manor as they were done together. The details are that all the furniture is original. The many rooms and antiques are available for use by visitors to the castle or the manor house.

My mother and I were treated like Queens. The rooms were truely palatial, newly remodeled with soaking tubs, heated floors, and wonderfully comfortable beds with down feather duvets. Outside the bedroom window was a swan swimming in the moat, I couldn't have asked for a better view. The public rooms were comfortable and very inviting. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and grand. We were welcomed warmly and had a wonderful stay. My only wish is that we could have stayed much longer but alas our travel schedule did not allow it.
