When you are in San Severino, like I heard Patty Smith saying one night during a dinner, there is something, a fine mystical line that goes through the gorgeous town. When you visit the pinacoteca, you can find some real masterpieces.

A small collection, displayed in only a few rooms, but with some absolutely gorgeous pieces, especially of the delicate, jewel-like late mediaeval / early Renaissance style the Italians call 'late-Gothic' (Cf. Simone Martini, Gentile da Fabriano…) Without the crowds or the stress of bigger galleries....More
