Hoceima National Park is a national park, outside the town of Al Hoceima in Morocco. It covers an area of 470 square kilometres, including 190 km2 at sea. The area is dotted with Berber settlements and criss-crossed by dirt roads, making it ideal trekking and mountain-biking territory. Its isolation has helped preserve several at-risk species, from its thuya forests to an important colony of fish eagles. While a 4WD opens up your options, a 2x4 will get you through the main tracks. The park offers two regions: the central Rif bordered by the N16 in the south and west, and the coast. Use our Al Hoceima road trip planning app to add Al-Hoceima National Park and other attractions to your Al Hoceima vacation plans.

This park has one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. The park itself is pretty untouched and there is a road that leads you right to the coast, you just have to know where you’re going. There isn’t really much hiking that we could find but you’ll still get the gorgeous mountain views while you’re driving. There wasn’t a soul around where we were so it was extremely peaceful and seemed off the beaten path and non-touristy, which we loved.

Get out there to forget your day to day problems. A real place to escape and to enjoy pure nature. This region is really a fantastic place, not very touristic for the moment, and this makes the place even more attractive. We just had a half a day visit, but it surely worth spending some more time inside this park.

Young natural park with infrastructure still being developed. (No maps or signs). Had hard time finding our way through. Tried 2 different routes to get to penon de Velez de la gomera and finally accessed from Bades. Road from west was closed and under construction after driving 3o minutes on poor quality gravel road. we were rewarded for our perseverance by finding Berber village of Bades on the sea. passed through picturesque village of rouadi on our way back to al hoceima. Easy day trip.

It's been a real pleasure to trek arround in this national park, the local inhabitants are very generous. you can visit a 800 years old mosque and its old berber village in Adouz. you can see a lot of wonderful landscape on every step you take in there. A must visit place whene you are visiting Al Hoceima.
