Endless summer surf school was the highlight of my stay in Fiji and to top it off, the Beachouse is a slice of paradise with amazing staff and great vibes. If you’re a beginner surfer, Bruce is your guy! One of the blokes was falling off his board paddling before we even hit the waves but Bruce had him standing up before the lesson was over and with a huge smile on his face of course! Do yourself a favor and join an endless summer surf lesson. It’ll be the highlight of your stay in Fiji too.

I was traveling to Australia with a layover in Fiji, and decided on a whim to extend the layover and book a 4-day surf + yoga package here on the Coral Coast with Bruce (the Endless Summer owner). It was the right move. :)

Accommodation: is at The Beachouse, a backpacker's haven with a choice of private or shared room (I did private). The setup is extremely laid back -- no stress, no frills, but you've got everything you need on hand. There's a pretty good selection of food & drinks on-site, which is what I did for most meals; or you can take the bus into town, which we did one day along with Bruce who showed us a great local lunch spot.

Logistics: Bruce arranged a taxi to pick me up at the airport and bring me here, which was somewhat expensive (130 FJD), but much easier since I arrived very early in the morning and didn't feel like waiting for figuring out the bus. Other than that every day was super chill: I'd wake up early and wander around on the beach at sunrise, have the free breakfast at the Beachouse, then meet Bruce to start surfing at a different time each day that's based around high tide. In low tide there are usually options for local activities (e.g. hike to a local waterfall, go snorkeling, learn traditional crafts, etc.), and each afternoon a yoga class perfectly set the chill vibe for the rest of the day.

Surfing: lessons are super easygoing, with Bruce providing just the right level of instruction + freedom. While I was there, each day there were 3-5 people learning to surf. It really is a perfect spot for beginners; although being in shallow water on a reef seems intimidating, this part of the reef is old & dead (& not jagged) and we wore booties that protected our feet and allowed standing or pushing off of it. The waves break early and continue most of the way to shore, giving plenty of time to ride at an easy pace before hopping off. In 4 days I went from "no idea wtf I'm doing" to "I think I get the gist of this" to "I can consistently identify good waves and ride them without assistance, this is a blast". Again, I really loved Bruce's style of instruction: he'd give some freedom so I could just try things out and not feel pressured. Then after I'd caught a few waves and gotten into a groove, he'd come over with a helpful suggestion or show me something new to try. It was just the right balance of learning & trying to improve vs. relaxing & enjoying the process, and the result was that I both enjoyed my surfing time each day and also came away feeling like I'd made a lot of progress.

This was the perfect start to my sabbatical, and even 6 months of travel later I find myself planning my next Fiji getaway to go back to Endless Summer. Highly recommended!

Very accommodating and informative in helping us plan the day, my wife and daughter enjoyed a surf lesson with Bruce while my son and I were able to do our own thing on the nearby breaks and hitch a ride both ways on the boat. Beach House is a great backdrop, so we stuck around for a casual lunch and drinks too.

The simple included food options, were refreshing for us, we loved the continental breakfast and more important was afternoon tea time. Although if you wanted something different there were full breakfast options and the dinner a mix of local and western style.

We were there over Christmas and New Years and although not there to party Bruce made sure we were looked after with Champagne, Fresh Coconut and Fruit after our surf on Christmas Day. New Years was fun with a Band coming to play and the locals enjoyed a NYE Party. We rested as we were not into a big party this year.

Loved the fact that WIFI was available, but only in the communal areas. It meant we could really disconnect and if we needed to connect we would and usually meant you would connect with other "real" people too :)

The surfing was brilliant and the time of day moved an hour each day due to the tide. Surfing on a flat rock reef shelf, meant if you got buggered of paddling you could walk back out to catch your next wave.

We did a day trip to a bigger resort nearby and could not get back to the Beach House soon enough. The feeling of the place is supper relaxed, accommodating and private.

We had an amazing time at The Beachouse and surfing with Bruce of Endless Summer. Bruce is laid-back, patient, helpful and full of good tips to improve your surfing. Marcia was the yoga teacher while we were there and she was awesome, she taught some ashtanga and restorative style yoga classes and adapted each class to what the group wanted. The Beach house is very chilled, on a gorgeous beach, lots of fun activities and the Garden Hut room was really nice. I highly recommend Endless Summer, it was an epic holiday.

I went for the 3-day surf camp with Bruce, and enjoyed it a lot! It was the first time I surf, but with Bruce's patient and clear guidance, I am able to enjoy the waves on the surf board from the very first lesson! Bruce will also capture some photos on his GoPro of you catching the waves which is a real bonus:)

I did this surf camp off The Beachhouse, and pre-booked it directly with Bruce from the Endless Summer Fiji website. Bruce made the procedure really simple and fuss-free, with quick and always friendly responses.

Thanks Bruce for the great surf experience!

Bruce was a super patient, fun coach! After struggling with trying to surf in Northern California for a couple years, Bruce had me up on my first wave. The surf camp I registered for was through the Beachouse (this was a bit confusing because the guy who met me at the airport for my transfer didn't know what "Endless Summer" was--"Beachouse" as the correct keyword). You can also take a bus which would drop you in front of the property.

The Beachouse has an inner and outer reef break with beginners on the 1 - 2-foot waves on the inner break (a short boat ride or long paddle from the beach). "We surf in all conditions," and Bruce will watch the tide and educate about conditions.

A wonderful time all around!

I found the surf school the best one i have tried out of 3 countries. Bruce made the lesson very simple and the boards made it perfect for me. I was worried about being on the reef but it is flat and the waves were long and clean. I never knew how good i would be so quick. Try it for sure.
