We stopped to admire the view and dam during a tour. We had a clear enough day that we could also make out the glaciers on the mountains in the distance. The winds were gusting but the overall experience was awesome. It is so hard...More

This is the actual artificial lake that is created by Sysendammen - it's a beautiful body of water creating hydroelectricity and five miles from this lake, the dam regulates the flow of the Voringsfossen Falls.

This was a interesting place that was very picturesque. We had to deal with a large herd of goats on the road on the way but it was funny. The glacier behind this park was massive and definitely provided some wonderful photos.

An impressive view of the surrounding countryside. A large expanse of water held back by a stone dam. No amenities in the area. Usually visited by coach trips as an add on to other excursions.

We visited this reservoir as part of a bus trip organised by a cruise ship. Although the reservoir is a bit tame the dam wall is impressive. However the real bonus are the views getting there up through the mountains which are something else. Then...More
