The two stupors have escalators up to them but only steps down. They are worth going up to as they have some beautiful paintings and sculpture inside and around them and you gain access to the main gardens from them. Views from the King Stupor...More

One can climb up to the pagodas using escalators or stairs. The view from the top is mesmerizing. The grounds surrounding the pagodas are very well kept and soooo beautiful. It was such a wonderful and serene atmosphere. This spot is a must visit.

The twin pagodas are part of the Doi Inthanon National Park. From Chaing Mai it is about 2h drive. The entrance fee for national park is 300THB (for foreigner) and additional 30THB for a car. Despite being part of national park there is an additional...More

If you're taking a trip or tour to Doi Inthanon National Park, the Twin Royal Stupas and gardens will probably be the main attraction - other than the views of surrounding countryside, which can be magnificent. The two stupas were built to commemorate the 60th...More

The twin Royal Stupas are certainly a landmark from which superb views of the Chiang Mai province countryside can be seen depending on the degree of haze. We went by taxi as part of a day's sightseeing. There is quite a large car park which...More

Ensure you dress appropriately - given the elevation it will be rather chilly. There are two stupas to see and then a lovely garden that at the edge was expansive views of the area. Probably need about 1 hour there...or perhaps a little more than...More

The first sight itself enthused us as vast valley around, with clear blue sky, moving clouds, bursting colors of flowers in the aesthetically designed gardens, wonderful view point, couple of ponds, all this enhance the richness of two Stupas, aptly dedicated to King Rama 9...More

The 2 stupas were built by air force to commemorate former king rama ix and the thai queen. When I visited this place it was too foggy but yet I enjoyed the mysterious atmosphere. Watch your step when it is foggy.
