Went rafting down the Kaituna and what a great experience. From the friendly greeting, the run down on the proposed activity, gearing up, trip to the river and on water tuition - was a well oiled machine. Guides were fantastic and felt safe the whole time. Highly recommended.

They picked us up from the hotel in Rotarua on time...and off we went. There was a raft guide onboard who started telling us all the safety procedures etc...and was also very funny with his explanations. We arrived at the "dressing place" and were all kitted out in our wetsuits etc...not easy to get on ...ha ha. Then back in... More

3 Waterfall (1x 7meters!), rapids, rapid-dunking, rapid swimming, raft-standup-surfing! Action packed, adrenalin fuelled, lots of laughs. A very culturally appreciative company, Maori significance of the river was taught to us, we listened to 2 Maori Karakia's. A brilliant guide, humerous, helpful, trusting and found extra time for extra challenges. Quality gear, safe adventure but heaps and heaps of fun!!!! Can't... More

Friendly amd knowledgable guides made the experience with their enthusiasm and wit. Great fun going over the 7m waterfall, challenging yet fun and safe. Would definitely do again.

I had always wanted to do white water sledging after trying rafting in Canada so went for it whilst my husband went to the Spa as he is not a strong swimmer. The organisation was excellent, the bus picked up in Rotorua and took us out to their base. There I discovered most people were going rafting ( the young... More

Had an amazing time rafting with these guys! The instructors were so good and it was clear how experienced they are! Nice touch at the start to have some history about the river and the waterfalls. The rafting itself was such a thrill! I was in a raft which didn't make it down the 7m waterfall with all of us... More

Rafting was fun, the guides were good, but seemed sometimes narcissistic and to cool. It was awesome to go down the waterfalls. The price of 99 NZ $ seemed ok for a 3 hour trip as announced, but we came there at 2:15 p.m. and had to wait for the rest of the group. The tour started at 3 p.m.... More

I honestly can't thank Kaitiaki Adventures enough. We stumbled across them in a complete state of dismay after being completely screwed over by another local rafting company (feel free to find my recent review by exploring my profile) I don't know if it was my bleary teared up eyes that did it or whether the woman was just plain nice...
