Beautiful coastal town with promenade, ancient town and steam railway. Well worth diverting off your planned route to visit.

We first came here to visit the local vet to have our dog ready to back to UK. It is one of the few vets who don't need an appointment. We stay at "Le Walric" and walk into town. As you do so you rapidly...More

The historic part of this seaside town is surprisingly big. the streets are lined with old buildings and the castel and a few houses have been turned into hotels/B&B's. There are information boards dotted around the area given information in both French and English. There...More

This site is well worth a visit even if it means navigating narrow streets to get to it. Parked by a wall, looked over to find an extremely long drop, could be dangerous with children. The church has some amazing stained glass windows and some...More

Obviously a very attractive tourist place. The shopping on the way, the multiplication of places and the contrast of the medieval and the modern is great. The views over the bay from the ramparts is brilliant.

The best part of Saint-Valery sur Somme is when you leave the shops behind you. The old city has very charming streets. A little bit south of the Somme, there are several streets with flowers. They give a very enjoyable experience in the old city.

The village is a delight. The houses are amazing and the medieval city is an absolute gem. I really loved the church, very simple architecture and yet lovely features inside. Very intimate.

A bit of a steepwalk up from the harbour, but well worth it for the picturesque streets, and above all the panaoramic views over the Baie de Somme

This is a worthwhile visiting old village. We were here in february. Wondering how busy this is in summertime. Good for a walk along the bay and back through town.
