Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very lukewarm welcome to us garden enthusiasts, more like a wild meadow haphazardly maintained , it's a shame as the site is gorgeous and the original beautifully designed. The current caretakers clearly don't care as they've had months of lockdown to make it beautiful. 10€ is way too much and it doesnt deserve the "jardin remarquable " accolade.

Basically €8 to visit someone's garden. The plants are fairly well identified, but when I visited at the beginning of September, it looked rather tired. Maybe better earlier in the season?

We visited this garden on our final morning in St Valéry, in beautiful sunshine. The garden is beautifully planted within stone walls in the medieval town, a gorgeous setting. There were roses, herbs, irises and some stunning salvias all in full flower.

This enchanting garden hidden away behind walls, is just lovely. It combines history with food, medicine and beauty to make a place which is timeless. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful find on the edge of the medieval part of the town. It was a delight to walk around such a peaceful and beautiful garden. A place to relax and enjoy, recommended.

A beatiful and restful place to spend an hour or two wandering round or just sitting quietly amongst an amazing array of plants.

And walking round the nearby streets in the historic area to see all the wild flowers that have also been planted. It all looks so pretty.

Complete with a toxic area or poisonous plants with plenty of warning signs not to touch!

And lots of little placques pinned to the walls showing quotes from famous people.

Well worth 4Euros entry fee.

A walled garden, brought to life by the efforts of one lady, with omen help; this garden is in many ways very natural, far from the tidy clinical formality of some finch gardens, but packed with interesting and beautiful plants. While we were. There a very unusual leverteria was in full bloom,

A lovely restoration project that is doing well. Nice to while away a little time strolling around the herbarium. English translation information sheet, staff very enthusiastic.

This tiny garden is a peaceful haven in the medieval high town of St Valery. Its a walled garden full of herbs and flowers tended with care. There are places to sit and contemplate the perfumes and colours. It's not formal, can look scruffy, so is not intimidating. I love it.
