Palmanova is a very small town which has the most fascinating shape once shown from the bird's eye view. It's main 'piazza' is a very large and very simple spot surrounded by lots of small cafes and shops. We have visited it around noon so...More

It's a small town with a great piazza and wonderful bars. We were there for a concert and we will definitely be back.

Note: I traveled here in June, 2011 The whole layout of the city of Palmanova is striking and quite different than most cities (assuredly due to the Venetian-style architecture and mindset), however what one will notice first, aside from the small gates to enter the...More

The square looks gorgeous, but it is not worth to go visit a city only for it's central square and a cathedral. I liked the situation, it's full of bars and restaurants all around, but for what i read online I pictured a very beautiful...More

Palmanova star-shaped plan focus on its heart - an octagonal square framed on eight sides by colourful ancient houses and on the ninth by the white façade of the Baroque cathedral. Several restaurants and cafés welcome the tourists all round. The white pebble central esplanade...More
