Visited several times during at stay at the Praia Verde hotel. Very well maintained beach. Lots of Portuguese visiting. Seemed very safe. Kids played football on an evening. Beach is very deep and so does not feel over crowded. Several nice places to eat /...More

Despite visiting the Algarve, known for its hustle hustle beaches crowded with people, we were looking for a quiet relaxing holiday where we could sit uninterrupted and take in some sun. This beach was just that. A gorgeous, long, sandy stretch with loungers that were...More

My favourite beach in Sotavento - East Algarve. Situated between Monte Gordo and Praia Verde, it is a quiet, long, sandy beach perfect to walk along. Clean water and lots of non crowded spots to enjoy!

We visit the area regularly and have been to this beach lots of times. It's always really clean and not too crowded. You can hire a traditional woven umbrella and 2 sun beds for 10 euros a day or there's plenty of space on the...More

Great stretch of clean sandy beach with parking nearby. Handy beachside restaurant for drinks and meals if required. The added bonus on this visit was seeing a pod of dolphins about 50 yards from shore, awesome.

Great long beach. Lots of space to put your towel and enjoy the sun. You can find here people selling cake on the beach and icecreams, and there some good coffees also. I love this beach because its not noisy.

Accessed from the N125 this beach is between the Praias Verde and Monte Gordo. Tends to be very quiet except in July and August as mainly only private holiday villas nearby. Two bar restaurants by the beach and a very small car park.
