This is a great place to go past, it is not huge but a great place to visit. Amazing art and great story. Nice walk.

Glad we went here to see Australia animals. It was a little disappointing that the animals were mostly asleep but the area was lush with plants and way through the property was marked and easy to follow. Really nice gift shop.

William Rickets Sanctuary is an offer to a fiercely protective nature lover who blended flora fauna and humans through his blended sculptures. What a treat to see his work exactly how he created and why he did so. Must visit.

This is a very unique garden in Dandenong area which has plenty of other beautiful gardens too. There is no entry price. The artwork is crafty & impressive. The lady at the reception was friendly & informative. Highly recommended place to visit !

Entrance is free to the site which is a real bonus, you wander through the forest along pathways and view the many sculptures which are statements to how William Ricketts felt about the country and wildlife. We visited on a Sunday at the beginning of...More

What a perfect time to visit on a cold windy day we had the place to ourselves and what a beautiful serene place it is. The sculptures are breathtaking and what a brilliant man with a incredible vision and understanding of the central desert people....More

About 2 hours is quite enough. Gives you time to look around, soak in the ambience, take photos and read beautiful inscriptions under the statutes.

Sorry for late reply, you’ve probably already been. I don’t remember seeing any signs saying no dogs but I doubt you would be able to take dogs in there.

I would think you must rent a car and meander around the area of the sanctuary as the small towns / villages are amazing. I doubt if public transit goes there but I am not from the area. The sanctuary was mind boggling but... More
