The cave was very cool but there was not much information regarding mythology. I suggest doing a quick Wikipedia search as it will make the visit more intriguing. Prepare for a steep hike! 2.50 euro for parking and 6 per person for entrance.

The cave is about 1-2 hour from Heraklion and not really worth the drive.
It’s really nice cold in there after you walked all way up from the parking area.

We drove a car from Amoudara to lasithi. The drive and the view were amazing! We stopped several places on our drive up to the mountain to take pictures. It was just breathtaking.

Loved the cave once we got there. Chose the wrong path up. The path on the right up from the car park is seriously cobbled fairy steep winding steps. Plenty of stopping places en route but not very safe I n sandals in 36degree heat....More
