The farm seems to be in the middle of nowhere but it was on the way back to Auckland from Waitomo. Keep an eye out for the flags by the road.
They do berry picking for an entrance fee ($4 per person) and then you get changed for the berries that you picked by weight. They had the option of strawberry and raspberry as the blueberries weren't in season yet. We went with strawberry picking.
There were plenty of plants available to pick and it wasn't very busy.
They also sell fresh fruit ice cream at the main shop as well as pre-picked berries. Order the ice cream at the counter and pick it up outside. There was plenty of seating outside as well as a play area for kids. There were also some animals out front including chicken and donkeys.
It was a relaxing way to pick some berries since it was quite peaceful.

Strawberries are great however there yoghurts are not correctly dispensed in the cups and you are ripped off with less than a desirable amount. Twice I’ve told management and still issues, clearly they are scamming people.

Wonderful adventure for our youngsters, picking berries and all that you could eat as well! Playground and shaded spot to eat berry ice creams topped it off

Kids always have fun picking berries especially when there is a variety of berries to pick. It is strangely more expensive to buy your owned picked berries than buying them off the shelf.
Frozen berries priced very competitively with supermarket frozen berries

You get there and can pick as many berries as you like, for a fixed price quota which is clearly explained at the beginning. You pay at the end, can stay as long as you like, and pick AND eat as much as you choose. Delightful place, nice people, and we ate magnificent strawberries, raspberries and boysenberries for three days after.

Drove past and decided to drop in, and delighted we did. Great fun picking and eating the berries then a home made ice cream afterwards. Great fun for the kids and a lovely setting.

Delectable summer fruits warmed by the sun and there for the picking. So sweet it tastes like jam. Admission fee is around $4 and it's fine to fill your tummy of strawberries - even other berries and raspberries too! Take away your goodies from around $12 per kg for strawberries or buy even bigger fruit from the shop. Prices seemed very reasonable.
Make a day of it. There are outdoor beanbags and hammocks set up with shade cloth. And an outdoor chess set! Finish with gorgeous real fruit ice creams.
Easy to find on the main road to Raglan.
Best. Experience. Ever

This is a hidden jewel that me and my wife found when we were travelling from Waitomo Glow Worm Caves to Hobbiton. Wonderful place to pick your own berries and have a wonderful experience eating all you can eat on site and bring home a nice box full of berries for a reasonble or even cheap price. They even have some Kiwis that walk through the plants, very joyfull for everybody, specially kids!!!
