Absolutely loved this experience. It was amazing and everything was so much. Walking, swimming. crawling through the river and canyon in glorious weather, couldn't ask for better.
Danelle and Liv were amazing guides. Both were super enthusiastic and encouraging everyone to do everything.

Waterfall Creek Canyon is AMAZING! We loved every hard-working minute of it. Even in the rain this canyon is beautiful and so much fun. It has a wide range to offer: many rappels, small and big, technical jumps, fun water holes to play in, and an EPIC waterslide to top it all off. On paper this was my favourite canyon for this holiday and it has more than delivered! LOVED it! Brilliant guides as well and no exaggeration of the loads of yummy food or the 2.5h hike in.

Great day out canyoning the Torrent river with Danelle & Liv been our guides. They did a fantastic job making us feel comfortable and engaging with the group. This was a day I won’t forget for along time as some of the challenges were out of my comfort zone but managed to do most of them with their guidance. Great day.

Had the most brilliant time on the Torrent River trip with Abel Tasman Canyons. The water taxi and hike to the start point are a lovely way to see the beautiful park. The canyoning itself is really thrilling especially the (optional) jumps! Our guides Liv and Danelle were absolute legends and made the experience even better

Best experience in New Zealand yet! Thanks to our extremely friendly guides Danelle and Josh who took us on a fun expedition with slides, very scary jumps, abseils and zip lines. It’s so worth it for the money with the aqua taxi, hike and then several hours in the water. The snacks and cup of tea halfway through were very appreciated as well.

The water taxi ride to the start was beautiful and I had a fabulous day out with guides Alex and Danelle. They were really helpful, encouraging and great fun, and all instructions were very clear. A great variety of ways of travelling down the canyon - sliding, jumping, ziplining and abseiling. Very entertaining, I’m just sorry I couldn’t make myself do the jumps. Lunch, a snack and even a hot drink was provided! The photos sent a couple of days later were really good quality and a great memory of the day. Thanks girls.

Had the most incredible canyoning experience with Danelle and Liv ! It was my first time was very doing canyoning so naturally I was a bit nervous but my amazing tour guides but my mind at ease.
I went outside my comfort zone and tried everything. If there is a particular part of the canyon your not comfortable with there are always alternative options.
The day was well planned out and there were plenty of breaks, lovely lunch and snacks along the ways.

Kia ora, Emma, it's Liv! I'm so glad you had a good time and it was an honour to guide you through your first canyon. It can be a bit nerve-wracking to canyon for the first time but you did a fantastic job and I hope you got your glass of wine afterwards. I was so set to book the guts and glory package for myself and my husband when I saw it won't begin until Oct. 1 any canyoning in South island in September? Our month long adventure in NZ ends on Sept. 25....fingers crossed this was high on our list

Hi Michele, thank you for your question. The highest jump in our most popular canyon Torrent River is 8m. A good thing to know is that the jumps or slides are always optional. If it looks a little bit too high or too scary you can always jump from a lower point or the guides can let you abseil down instead. They are great at helping you find your limits. You'll love it!

We sometimes book out so I would recommend booking in early. Either call us using our contact details listed on our website or use our online booking system. The office staff is happy to help you with your booking and to answer any questions.
