I ve take my open water and advance diver licence here. Best place so far in north Sardinia, thanks to Irene and Giovanni that have the patience and the ability to teach you, recognizing your weaknesses and your ability and explaining and providing everything you need, while driving in the best dive sites in the area of Tavolara and Molara

This afternoon we joined Irene and Giovanni for our first family snorkelling trip. We could not have chosen better. Arriving at the beautiful Marina di Puntaldia to be greeted by a cheery “Ciao” from Giovanni, I knew we’d chosen the right people. From start to finish it was like we were with old friends but being truly professional all the time. We headed out from the harbour towards the stunning Isola Tavolara passed the Capo Coda Cavallo and then mooring in the quiet side of Isola Molara, part of the protected area around the coast. The water was crystal clear, clearer than I’ve ever seen. We were really lucky on arrival it was millpond calm and were able to see easily to the sand some 6 metres down beneath us. We saw shoals and shoals of fish, urchins, sea cucumbers and even an octopus spotted moving by daughter. As a family activity with teenagers this is top of any we have ever done. With kids who aren’t easily impressed to hear “wow!” as many times as we did was worth every penny. Thank you Giovanni & Irene, this has definitely been the highlight of our holiday in Sardinia.

We went snorkeling with our 9 and 7 year old and had a wonderful experience ourselves. They paid particular attention to our children. They were extremely accommodating and great for beginners. The overall experience was AMAZING.We definitely recommend this to other families.😊😊

Went on the two location snorkelling trip with my girlfriend. Overall we felt it was underwhelming. All the staff we met were nice, kind and professional so no issues there. Our main issue was we didn’t really see any fish, considering this is why you go snorkelling this was a let down. They state they provide breakfast, this is actually cookies and dried fruit from a tubbaware that everyone dips their hands into on board the boat after the first snorkel, they also provide tea from a flask into a plastic cup. So do not go without eating an actual breakfast first, what they offer is a snack no way a breakfast, they certainly mislead you there. Another issue is the price, on the website is states €40 per person, we was charged €90 for two people, I raised this at the time and lady said it was the right price, when I got back to the hotel and checked the website I sent them an email, they stated there is a mistake on the website and to be fair they offered to refund the €10 however not really practical.

Response from Giovanni C, Proprietario at Discovery Diving Sardegna

Hi Carl, thanks for writing. As you know at sea and in nature, we have no certainties of what we will see. Sometimes a lot of fish sometimes less fish. If you want to be sure to see so much fish the only way is to visit Rea Sea, Maldive or an aquarium. As for breakfast, having never had any complaints, only compliments,so we will continue on this way. When you live a sea experience on a big zodiack boat, do not think about serving a restaurant with cutlery and plates. Spirit of adventure and a little adaptation are necessary. Even from this point, having never received complaints, we will continue with our service in this way. Where instead I have to apologize is on the web site in English. The price for activities in the high season reported the same price as the low season. I immediately proceeded to correct the error and I told you that I would have immediately returned the difference of 10E, but I never received an answer. Regars
