E-bike Tour of the Valle d'Aosta Vineyards

The lower Valle d'Aosta is one of the most renowned places for the production of wine. Among the highest mountains in Europe, the Valle d’Aosta Wine Route, called Route des Vins, wants to take you to the vineyards and wineries, telling you, directly from those who daily work the land with their own hands. Only passion can bear good fruit in difficult geographical and climatic situations, at altitudes where the sky touches with a finger.
In e-bikes we will cross roads immersed in the vineyards in order to better understand the real difficulties of harvesting on steep terrain and to admire unique landscapes.
At the end of the tour we will visit and taste the wines of one of the most renowned wineries of Donnas.

This is a quick stop to look at the history in the area and imagine what it would have been like in days gone by, There is a car park a short walk away from Via delle Gallie.

The Via delle Gallie, it's a small stretch of this old Roman road that used to link Paris to Rome, and this particular part was all excavated on the rock, and you can see the traces where the wagons used to pass. There's also a a Pietra Miliare (a ancient road sign) that's marks XXXVI miles to reach Aosta. It's a quick stop but it's very interesting and makes you think about all the effort that was made to build it and all the people that passed by!!
