It was raining and we needed something to do with my elderly parents so someone suggested visiting this historic village whilst on holiday locally. No-one was disappointed and it was easy to dodge the weather. Something for everyone, blacksmith demonstration a must. Probably need more...More

This is one of the best historical museums I have ever visited. So well preserved with many many exhibits. The price seemed steep on arrival but the pass was for three days. You could well fill those three days just seeing all the exhibits. How...More

Thanks so much for leaving a review - on Christmas Day, what a lovely gift. Yes, our tickets are valid for 3 consecutive days since it was often just too much to see and do in one day. We are glad you enjoyed your visit...More

A great set up of REAL buildings (not replicas) and a chance for the younger generation to step back in time. Highly recommended.

We started the two-hour walk through this extensive museum village with a coffee in the Bakerfield pub, which was of dismal quality. The collections are impressive in size, but too much to digest. The best expositions were those where you could see how people lived...More

Being of the older generation, this really took us back to our childhood. No electricity, running water etc. this display is wonderfully presented. So much to see. The grounds are beautifully maintained and are a credit to the owners. Make sure you wear comfortable footwear...More
