This duomo is a delight to visit as it blends many Italian architectural styles and influences - Roman, Baroque, Palaeochristian and Renaissance (there are probably others!) and it dates from the 12th century. It has some lovely frescoes, Baroque paintings, Roman artifacts in the crypt...More

We saw many activities involving the church, and the bells rang often and were beautiful! It is lovely inside and very well maintained.

Quite a simple building from the outside but truly breathtaking inside with so much to take in and enjoy - you can easily spend an hour marvelling at the beauty within.

Lovely place to walk around on a hot day after visiting the fort. Don't forget to go down to the catacombs and also down to see the old frescos.

Visiting Civita Castellana was one of our highlights on this tour... to see this beautiful structure with no roof on it was shocking actually. The history was like from a novel... not factual.

Wow, what a piece of history. You would never believe from the outside what awaits you inside. It is absolutely meticulously maintained. Very worthy of a visit.
