The rock formations here are great and create huge photogenic plumes of spray when there’s a decent swell coming in. I read a tip about visiting in low tide and I recommend googling tide times and being there at as a low a tide as...More

Hidden beach, with amazing black sand and high waves that make it difficult to swim but will keep you internained nonetheless. Best to awid if you have small children because there is no shade.

A beautiful untouched black sanded beach. There are no sunbeds, umbrellas, not even a toilet or a trash can, but this just makes it more amazing. The view is stunning and the road to here through Anaga is breathtaking. It's a good place to surfers...More

Like other Canary Isles, Tenerife isn't blessed with many good natural beaches. There are a number of artificial beaches with imported sand and some decent beaches with natural black volcanic sand. Benijo isn't either of these. Though listed on some websites as one of Tenerife's...More

We visited this beach on our last day on Tenerife. We wished we had visited earlier in our stay so we could have visited a 2nd time. We parked on the dirt road that goes up behind the restaurant, and walked down to the beach....More

Sorry, can't comment. The road was intact when we were there in May 2018. It's a bit tortuous - winding and mountainous - but we saw no noticeable damage
