We rent 2 kayaks and 1 canoe and had fun for a hour. The weather was not so sunny but we enjoyed the environment. Great place for a sportive morning or afternoon. On top of the lake we had a great cream tea.

Such a terrific place for everyone. The walks are family & dog friendly. Length to suit & catering well for wheelchairs/pushchairs. The cafe looked good but untried by me on this visit. Clearly excellent watersports & camping available. Immaculate. Nature all around. Just the ideal...More

Fourth visit here in the last year and every.time it doesn't disappoint, so beautiful and so much to do here, perfect for solo travelers, families, friends everyone!

Only live a few miles away ,but took time out to go ,glad I did ,great walk around ,took me 3hrs 20 mins ,lovely views ,will bring grandkids next time.not to sure about cafe opening times ,so you need to check .

A busy day when we were there but get off the beaten track & the walks are fantastic & safe for dogs with lovely views. The dam is impressive if that's what ticks your box & you can rent just about every form water sport...More

Camped here for 4 nights midweek during term time so the site was very quiet which suited us. Fabulous location on the side of the Wimbleball Reservoir with access to beautiful local walks direct from the site. New toilet/shower facilities excellent and staff very friendly....More

I'm very late in answering your question, but my guess is that some dogs off leads can scare children and worry animals. Therefore, it's better if there is one rule for all.
