The walk up to Barclodiad y Gawres alone is more than rewarding - the view all along the way is simply breathtaking. Situated on a peninsula, with sea on three sides, you can just stand on that fascinating old burial mound for hours and look...More

Whilst walking part of the Anglesey Coastal Path recently, I passed by this burial chamber close to Rhosneigr. The gates were locked at the time but I could still see inside. Not really sure if the gates are ever opened to be honest as there's...More

Not really worth making a special visit, but if you in the area pop by, if not for a peak through the entrance's bars you'll see some amazing views.

Diverted from a walk to see this, cannot see much other than mossy rocks through railings. From other reviews think can gain access but there was no mention of this at the location

Years ago, this chamber used to be wide open. There were no iron gates and people respected the site. Stone Age artwork could be seen on the walls and the chamber was clean. Last time I visited, the place was littered with empty, soft drink...More

A restored burial mound, unfortunately locked most of the time. Access can be gained by contacting the local shop. Stunning views from the headland, on the beautiful coastal path.

We visited on a bright sunny day and the views from the top were great. The beach below was very busy but it was lovely and peaceful at the Barclodiad y Gawres. We'd picked the wrong day to visit as the inside was closed -...More
