Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful waterfall, short walk! It was rainy when we visited otherwise we would have taken a swim. Limited parking available but pretty easy to find.

Saw it was recommended to visit and because there had been rain we decided to visit while in the area. It's only a 50 metre walk in.

This is one the most pretty falls in NZ and you can swim in the pool into which the waters fall.
They are an easy and short walk from the road, 1 minute max. However there is very little parking on the side of the road.
Very glad we made a detour to see these falls.

These falls were just beautiful and quite unusual. It’s well worth the stop. You can hike to the falls from the gorge parking area or you can get much closer and park on the road.

A very small carpark just off to the side of the road for 3 cars. Very shot walk and beautiful falls. Saw these just after all the flooding end January 2023 and the water was flowing! Quite impressive. No way would you swim there as it had a fast moving current and the volume of water was huge. Worth a small detour to check it out.

Situated just few steps off road, this beautiful waterfalls are waiting for you!
Have a quick visit to this falls if you are in Tauranga or on the way to Victoria Battery Site.
The main parking area is about 100 meters away from the falls entrance. Or you could just park near the walkway but only 2-3 cars could fit.

What an amazing looking waterfall. I can imagine it would be full over summer with people enjoying a quick splash to cool down

What an almost perfect looking waterfall. While it was quiet today, I am pretty sure this place would be packed in the middle of summer fill of people having a cool off

An excellent place to relax and unwind.
Can be reached by a longer walk (about 90 minutes) from Karangahake Gorge car park or by a short 1-minute walk from Waitawheta Road, where it meets SH2.
There are no benches, toilets or water taps - so please be prepared accordingly.

Short easy walk from the side of the road. Uneven gravel surface not really suitable for mobility devices.
No public bathrooms.
Bank down to the waters edge is slippery, care must e taken or it will be nasty fall. River rocks are slippery.
Great scenic spot, lovely looking falls, usually has a number of people jockeying for photo positions.
