Surprisingly this was free to visit. There was lots to see in a small space and the ladies at the desk were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A very interesting and enjoyable visit.

The main thing to see here is the tapestry depicting the history of Maldon. It is really lovely in very vibrant colours. Take time to use the guide to study all the elements carefully so you don't miss anything.

This is a former church which combines an exhibition centre with a shopping selling local crafts etc. Its well worth going in to see the interesting collection of artefacts.
