I had never been to Murano and really enjoyed it more than Venice. Fewer crowds, slower pace. This art popped up on our walk. Bright and interesting, it is an excellent photo op.

The Cometa is a nice attraction in the heart of Munaro made of glass. It is well presented and is right beside the canal close to shops and cafes. Well worth the visit

Murano is world famous for their beautiful and amazing glass products, marketed as Venetian glass. Although today sometimes products from China are sold as Venetian glass, glass is still the soul of Murano, with the multiple glass factories and their special and secret production recipes....More

This was amazing we walked around an alley way and came across a square with cafes and this amazing work of art. Beautiful. Lots of Murano glass shops. We watched a demonstration of blowing glass, the man made a horse. Well worth a visit.

This masterpiece is in a small square with a cafe close by. Hard to believe the sculpture is made of glass.

Murano is one of the smaller island at Venice. Take the boat from Venice and visit this island that is dominated by glass blowing art. Visit the small factories to see how glass is made and enjoy the beautiful art in the Centre

Really loved Murano in May. Honeysuckle growing on the walls, soft summer light. Murano was quiet in the evening after the bustle and busyness of Venice. Would definitely go back there

Just something to see in Murano while shopping and visiting the artist's gallery is also worth a visit.

Huge, garish and potentially dangerous attempt at public art in one of the main squares on the historic glass blowing island of Murano. I appreciate that it is made of glass, but the style and technique is that of 20th Century Seattle, Washington based glass...More
