The tour commented by Sarah on foot in these galleries was a magical moment. Sarah is very welcoming, she gave us lots of very interesting information and anecdotes. Couple with a child of 3, the visit lasts an hour, plan a sweater because it is cool. Our Guide Sarah was just exceptional, passionate about this place, it was really a beautiful immersion in time. After having been carefully protected by a construction helmet, our guide invites us to penetrate the bowels of this atypical mine, to explore with her this maze of cool galleries. The explanations were fascinating, the show was striking and the experience will remain a unique memory that we will recommend to our loved ones and friends. Thanks to Valérie for this visit ;)

Visit these impressive ocher mines today without activity. The visit lasts approximately one hour. I advise you to take “a little wool” because the temperature is 10 degrees inside. Very interesting guide who is keen to lead the visit and is constantly concerned about the safety and well-being of visitors. To see if you are in the region.

Entrance is 9.5 per person.
A guide takes you through the 1100 m underground circuit of this old ocher quarry.
It's very interesting and worth the visit.
It's a constant 10 degrees all year round in the cave. Also take a little wool.
Photos are not allowed in the cave.
And reservations are made by telephone.

Superb discovery that these ochre mines.
The site is beautiful and impressive in its size and area.
The 1 hour tour was well suited for adults and children ages 8 and 11, and our Guide gave us an exciting historical explanation with humor and good humor!
The mines are at 10 °, perfect in high heat.
Small shop selling regional products at affordable Awards.
To see as part of the course around the ochre, Okhra or the Provencal colorado, but there we are cool and it feels good!

The discovery of the Ochres du Luberon (Roussillon, Colorado) would not be complete without a visit to the Mines de Bruoux! You should remember to book because the visit is guided and the number of people is limited! we wander for 1 hour in immense galleries dug into the cliffs of Ocher (constant temperature 10 degrees) with a guide who explains to us with passion the harsh life of these “artist” miners of Ocher. To do !

We visited the mines as a family with 4 young children. Great visit, very interesting, in particular thanks to the explanations of our guide Valérie, very educational and passionate. We were able to understand mining operations in a very fun and detailed way. The children loved exploring the galleries, and all this in the cool of the hot weather outside. We highly recommend this safe, family visit. And especially if you are lucky enough to meet Valérie.

Felt like exploring a cool, shady cathedral.....thought it was going to be dark and cramped but it was spacious and amazing. The guide was very kind in explaining highlights to us in English as our French was not great. As soon as you walked underground it was at a constant 10deg Celsius.....good place to go to cool down out of the sun!

The mines are spectacular and the tour is very informative. The guide was very entertaining, very knowledgeable and making jokes to create a really nice group dynamic. He was open to questions and very kind to kids that were on the tour.
It’s pretty cool inside so that a jacket even in the summer.

It is a personal experience and therefore subject to specific needs and expectations. I would have given a “poor” score but the site is kept with care, the staff in very kind reception. I think it is ABSURD to make a Guided Tour only in French, when of course people of any nationality are supposed to participate in the tour, instead the guide is aimed only at natives or those who have a knowledge of their home language. There are no audio guides, a tablet is provided with very little partial information to read in the language chosen by the visitor. We, with a 4-year-old boy and having chosen to do this activity for him, found ourselves having to tell what we were seeing inside the mine and then being FILMED by the Guide because of the voice that echoed and therefore disturbed others.
It was very unpleasant. Not to mention that the tour could be shorter, it is repetitive and excessively long (according to other mines/quarries visited elsewhere).

Buongiorno.

Very informative visit to this mine in the heart of the red rock.
The visit is accompanied and commented. We navigate through the galleries and discover breathtaking atmospheres and settings where the rock has been worked to extract precious ochres.
Be careful though to bring a little wool because the place remains cool all year round (around 13°C). Very good when it's a heatwave outside but after a few minutes inside, you can quickly start to feel cold and therefore less appreciate the walk which is really worth the detour. So bring a sweater and comfortable shoes.
