Still closed as of mid May 2017, thought the signage says welcome... there's a low barrier across the road. Nothing at the bottom of the hill indicates it's closed and the hiking maps given out in Flam show it as a destination. Village looks great....More

This attraction appears to be defunct. It's a nice walk from town but the gate is closed. We wandered in a anyway and looked around. Al the buildings were locked up except the bathroom (nice of them). There seemed to be various bits of trash...More

It's a beautiful village, with amazing fjord views. But it is closed for 2016 season, not sure why. We visited either way, but all the houses were closed.
