The monesterio is currently closed for renovation so we were a little disappointed as we were hoping for a return visit... The fuente del vino was still there however, with a rather better red wine than the rose that we had previously sampled... There is...More

On the Camino, this winery of Bodega Irache is famous for its Fuente de Vino (wine fountain). Pilgrims can stop here and pour themselves from a spigot a glass (or shell-full or mouth-full) of so-so wine. It’s kind of a ritual fo pilgrims.
