Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location is easy to find, and the sight of the lavender is so beautiful. You are free to wander around but I highly recommend the free tour on request which the owner gave us. I learnt so much about lavender and how the bees are so important and are reason we see the colour explosion that we see. The season is for only 8 weeks Dec - Feb so don't delay. There is a shop to buy products which you can test and the staff are very helpful. There is no cafe.

We had a great visit to the farm. There were beautiful lavender plants at different stages of growth along with many bees and other plants and trees, including fruit trees. This business is run by a great couple who were extremely friendly and helpful. We paid $10 NZ per car to visit the farm which was well worth it. The owners explained the planting and harvesting process, showed us their operation and pointed out the best places to take pictures. They also had reasonably priced, locally made and small business made products. Someone you definitely would want to support.

Third time for me to visit this place, twice for this season! 😊 took friends from auckland to visit a vast field of lavender. The number of bees pollinating should not be a concern while enjoying yourself taking photos for the gram. Owners are really lovely and accomodating. Considering they make all their products onsite within a small shed, they do make a few variety and with a reasonable price.
As soon as we open the car door, oh boy the scent, you can smell it straight away! So for those who react to pollen fast take a mask or some meds so that you stay worry free.

We visited with our friends mainly for photos as i love lavenders but never been to an actual field. This one is quite close to Auckland. We were welcomed by Bernie, the owner, they seemed busy as they are harvesting the flowers but he took time to talk to us, gave us tips where to take the perfect photos and gave us bit of information what they do in the farm. Entrance is free! and they have a shop for different lavender products which are awesome! Will definitely back in the future and buy stuff online :)

Fantastic lavender farm. One of the best I have been to. You can wander through the lavender gardens at your own pace and buy some fantastic lavender products in their gift shop. The people here are very friendly and knowlegable about their lavender and I came away with a basket of cool goodies. It is 55 mins fron Waitomo and 1.15hrs from Rotorua.
We were there in November and the lavender was flowering

A great visit to this lavender farm.
A friendly welcome into the gift shop & the lavender fields were amazing, with plenty of photo opportunities.
You can picnic in the grounds if you wish, which we would've done if we'd known, you can then soak in the atmosphere for a bit longer.
They kindly cut some fresh lavender for us for $10 a bunch , but you need to ask if you would like some.
All in all a lovely experience

I love visiting this farm at this time of the year. From some angles you look back over the fields and have a real sense of being in France. They also sell quality products and I can particularly recommend the shower gel. There is no food or drink available on site but many opportunities for photos. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful.

A boutique farm, but full of beautiful lavender. Very friendly owners, explaining the products despite the crowd. Only portable toilet so don't expect too much.
