We were four of us and we had Veronika at Aroha Tours arrange our 11 day trip to New Zealand.Veronika herself personally took us on the tour of the North Island and the South Island in a big Mercedes SUV.This was one of the best trips we have had (and we have travelled a lot)The way Veronika had arranged our trip was flawless and we were able to see all the main highlights of New Zealand especially the scenic South Island.Veronika went beyond what we expected and she even had booked us for Dinners at really great Restaurants all through our trip.She let us do the trip at our pace and didn’t push us at all.She is a very generous person and I would do a trip with her anytime.

My husband and I highly recommend traveling with Ahora Tours! Friends of ours traveled with Ahora in New Zealand October 2022 . After investigating other private high end tour companies, it was an easy choice to make based on tailoring to our needs with Veronika, company owner, who ended up being our private guide for our nearly 3 week road trip! She leant a personal touch to the itinerary. We had a one hour Zoom meeting to review details such as did we want larger hotels or boutique hotels where we interfaced with the manager or more intimate with the owners. She found us beautiful locations in more intimate settings with lodges that were comfortable, had excellent food and wine. Each was unique. Departure times in the morning and arrival times in the late afternoon or evening space with free time on our own gave us a chance to relax and explore. Veronika was flexible if we decided to make a change in plans for example trying out a newly opened spa in Rotorua to try out the natural hot springs. Because of unseasonably cold, rainy and windy weather when we were to kayak she was able to provide us with a warm and cozy small boat tour of the Abel Tasman National Park instead. Every restaurant she recommended was different and delicious. We travel during an interesting time of a major election and Rugby World Cup for the New Zealand team was excelling. It was fun to share the excitement with Veronika and locals with whom we interfaced. This will be a most memorable trip for the two of us!

We used again the services of Aroha Tours for our second trip to New Zealand and we had a trip of a lifetime! Everything was just superb!
We only have one sentence: if you think to travel to New Zealand don't think about who will arrange you trip, Aroha is the answer.

After 12 years we returned to New Zealand and once again Veronika created an incredible 12 day itinerary for us and every aspects of it were beyond our greatest expectations. The sights, food, locations were indeed 5 stars as it was Zusana our guide/driver.
Aroha Tours will be our strongest recommendation to anyone thinking of visiting New Zealand.

We hired Aroha Tours for an add-on after our Tauck tour of Australia and New Zealand. Steve Popperwell was our guide. We couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, knowledgable one. The lodgings that were recommended were superb, both Camp Estates on the Otago Peninsula and Mt. Michael Lodge outside Cromwell. We were able to do and see everything we had hoped to. All went smoothly as clockwork.

Veronika knows how to customize your tour to New Zealand! We spent 24 days; and she and her team (shout out to Luca) scheduled an amazing tour. Over that time, weather, and other things, changed; and they updated activities on the fly to ensure the best experience. If you want a tour company that cares about what you really want, use Aroha! 7 stars!!

We planned this trip about 2 years ago and expectations were high, I am happy to say they were exceeded! I am a professional photographer and wanted to maximize the photographic opportunities, my wife wanted more of a vacation experience and the couple we traveled with also had mixed priorities. Putting together a 3 1/2 week trip to make everybody happy was not easy. Veronika put together an outstanding package for us. The experience was amazing, from the iconic vistas to the local hot spots we saw as much as we could given the time restraints. Our driver guide, Meghan, deserves special mention. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable and the trip just would not have been the same without her. I would not even know where to begin to design a trip like this myself. Having an experienced travel company like Aroha was indispensable.

New Zealand:
When you go to a far away place you need to trust your tour operator, they know what to do and where to go, and this is exactly what happened with us.
we are a group of 10 friends not so young and we have been traveling together all over the world for several years know, this time it was Australia and NZ, Aroha Tours, designed the perfect experience for Us, seamless in every detail, excellent hotels, the perfect itinerary and the best guide (Luca) ever, the understood our group, our interests and did accordingly,
My advice to anyone going to NZ, to get it organize by Aroha.

I toured NZ with Aroha Tours four times, obviously before the pandemic. That alone may tell you what wonderful experiences I had with them. My first trip was together with my brother (short 7 day tour of parts of the South Island). The second time my father and I went to the North Island for 10 days, the third time we did a two week tour of the South Island and the fourth time was a 12 day trip of parts of the North Island not visited on our second trip.
I cannot thank Veronika and her team enough. Everything, from the first contact, to the planning and last but not least to the trip itself are done with expertise and warmth, which is hardly found anywhere else. The itineraries and the lodges are planned and selected with the greatest care and are perfectly adjusted to your requirements and wishes. And there is always enough room for flexibility, so that changes are possible also while you are already there. They arranged private helicopter flights, fishing excursions, etc. for us. Everyday was exciting!
On all our trips Jurgen was our guide. He did an awesome job! To say his knowledge of the country is extensive is actually an understatement. Most of all his friendliness and humor make him a perfect companion for such a tour. We consider Jurgen a friend by now.
On our last trip Veronika, the owner, herself guided us for a couple of days as well. This was such a wonderful experience. She and her husband even took us on a private boat trip to the Poor Knights Islands.
I am convinced that there is no better choice than Aroha Tours, when you want to visit New Zealand and make the most of your trip! I cannot recommend them enough.

We took a 2 week North and South Island tour in February 2020 for my wife's birthday. We were lucky that we were able to experience NZ before Covid arrived in force. Veronika created an amazing itinerary on short notice that included stops that were off the beaten path - just what we were looking for! Everything was taken care of, our driver was fun and accommodating and it was truly a memorable vacation. We never would have thought to stay at some of the places Veronika found for us. We will never forget what the night sky looked like! Highly recommend booking your NZ vacation with Aroha!
