Rented bikes for the trail
Dec 2019 • Family
We rented four bicycles for a ride up to Waihi. Mike at “the hub” could not have been more helpful and kind, even when we arrived back late and reported that we had lost one of the helmets. Thank you Mike! The bikes were high quality and the process to rent was easy.

Nzta business
Aug 2019 • Couples
Well it was very slow there as there is only one computer/counter to do all NZTA and driver licencing. We waited 15-20 minutes just to update our ruc. There were problems with there printer not printing labels, ours eventually came out a couple of minutes after the transaction had finished. There is no privacy for anyone doing learner driver licencing from the public doing normal business not even a screen. I think this could be looked at and improved.

Briliant source of info
Feb 2019 • Friends
Popped in to source some info and got that and more. Michael was able to find us accommodation on busy Tattoo weekend and recommended some great places.

Also the place to hire your bike for the rail trail and gather info on that and everything else in the area.

Excellent!

Invaluable advice from Michael
Aug 2018 • Friends
Luckily chose to consult the information office in Paeroa regarding cycle hire and the Hauraki Rail Trail. Best decision we could have made- Michael was informative and helpful- clearly a man who knows his stuff. We had a wonderful day cycling and popped back the next day to thank him. I feel our experience would have been less enjoyable if we hadn’t talked to this gentleman. I would recommend you make this the first place you visit in Paeroa.

Great Place For Biles and Information
Jul 2018 • Family
I rented bikes here with my kids (aged 15 and 11). The staff were really helpful and gave me loads of information about the rail trail. We cycled to Waihi and back (taking the train part of the way back.). The information hub allowed to return the bikes after the closing time and told us to lock them up outside, which we did.

Friendly Information and Bike Rental-The Place to Stop in Paeroa
Nov 2017 • Couples
Mike at the Info-Centre/Bike Rental was fabulous, he was a font of information and set us up for a great afternoon on the Hauraki Rail Trail. We heard about the trail and went straight to the Info Centre to find out more. Once we were there Mike to great care of us, setting us up with bikes and giving us valuable tips on doing the rail trail. We had already booked accommodation so he gave us detailed instructions on how to get there. Of course he knew the folks at "The Villa" as Paeroa is that kind of friendly small town.

As I believe I've said elsewhere, Paeroa is easy to underestimate. Even if you don't have plans to visit here, stop at the Info Centre and you might find out why you should spend some time in Paeroa. A day on the rail trail and a morning perusing the antique shops of Paeroa's downtown is a great way to enjoy New Zealand.

This is one of the better info centres.
Feb 2017 • Couples
This is one of the better info centres, not too cluttered. A small amount of local goods on sale - and a very friendly gentleman who had loads of local knowledge - definitely well worth the visit if you are in this area.
