I saw this bottle standing in a car park over a year ago and maybe I was a bit harsh with my review. I do realise that there is some history attached to this bottle and the town but it isn’t even made there anymore! The number of people who smile when they see this tired looking bottle makes it worth it being there.

A must see

Of you're in the area you have to stop at the giant L&P bottle at least once, it's an iconic Kiwi beverage so you won't find one anywhere else!

Good for a photo stop adjacent to the riverban. Parking adjacent. A must stop in Paeroa for a kiwiana pic.

Quick Photo Stop

Obligatory photo stop in Paeroa. Kids enjoyed posing and running around the grass area. Also public toilets available.

Great place to get pics with the giant L & P bottle, which originated in Paeroa.

Nice park at the Gorge end of Paeroa, planted with Lemon trees, to commerate the making of L&P in Paeroa.

We waited for some time but the wait was well worth it as the cheese cake was to die for. Beautiful dessert

Nice - but closely linked with L&P

Once you have had the Lemon & Paeroa drink and you like - coming to visit this over sized bottle will be fun.

A real town icon, worth stopping for a photo

This big bottle has become the symbol of Paeroa and was even featured on a New Zealand postage stamp. Nothing much to it, but worth stopping for a photo and then getting some of the actual drink to taste!

Iconic Eyesore

Sorry folks I am not from NZ so it is a bit of a mystery why a tired looking giant bottle should be stood in a car park? I did read the history of the bottle but it isn’t even made locally any more. It does bring a smile to your face when you see for the first time!

It’s advertising
Aug 2018 • Friends
It’s a big fake bottle in a small park/car park. There’s a bit of history stuff on the plaques but really, it’s now just free advertising for Coca Cola who own the brand.

L&p hasn’t been made in Paeroa for ages.

If we are serious about obesity then why are we promoting sugar water trumped up as coming from natural sources?
