This is not one of the famous places like Lecce but certainly worth visiting. The historic centre is not that big and you can enjow all of it in about 2 hours. Recommended.

Went to Nardo for a few hour visit from Lecce. The historic Centro is beautiful. The central piazza Antonio Salandra is really visually appealing. It contains the I office, two churches, a fountain to commemorate the birth of Nardo and very elegant buildings . Just...More

We spent quite a bit of time here, the old part of the town is really interesting to wander round. There are some lovely cafe's/bars around and at night it really comes alive in the old square.

We stayed in Nardo as we were visiting relations. Nardo is out of the way but certainly not to be missed. Driving is easy to get here but work out where you can park. If you get into the old town the 'streets' are very...More

Wonderful town full of friendly people and nice old buildings. Great base for visiting nearby beaches. Not everyone speaks English, but if that means the tour buses stay away, that's fine with me.

Nardo is a place with quiet dignity, sandstone buildings and one ofthe most intimate squares of Puglia. If you want to discover the Salento, places like Otranto, Gallipoli, Galatina or even Lecce (although we'd recommend to spend some days in Levce, too), Nardo is a...More

Gracie per la tua risposta. Abbiamo viaggiati in Italia durante maggio. Abbiamo usati il treno per andare dal Lecce a Nardò Città stazione e andati a piedi a Centro Storico. Ci piace Nardò, Puglia e il Salento!

Brindisi i believe is the nearest airport and beach-wise, they are everywhere! Porto Cesareo have loads of nice spots so does Gallipolli (outside the city).
