- Raechel B1 contributionInspirationalGlu Aromi and Enrico were inspirational! His attitude matched the beauty of the farm and positivity radiates! I highly recommend coming here for a treat for all senses. If you are a traveler, a gardener, a cook, or a passionate eater you’ll have a wonderful time.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 24 April 2024
- Christine RProvidence, Rhode Island148 contributionsUnique and delicious experienceMy family and I booked a lunch and tour with Enrico. He took us around his property, talked about the many herbs he grows and also an overview of this part of southern Sicily and his own family's story. He spoke perfect English and is an engaging person. The sea views from the property are beautiful. Then a delicious lunch by his wife Rita. Not only is she a wonderful chef, but she is passionate about rescuing stray dogs in the area. I felt like they were friends by the time we left!Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 6 May 2024
- Pamela D18 contributionsHighlight of Sicily! We had the extreme pleasure to visit this farm while in Sicily. Enrique and Rita are wonderful hosts and it is clear they have a passion for what they do. We enjoyed a nice tour of their farm with Enrique who is most definitely gifted in speaking. His seamless transition between languages was nothing short of amazing! He is engaging and has a wonderful sense of humor, keeping us interested and laughing the entire time. Of course, he is also very knowledgeable about herbs, giving us lots of interesting information about the herbs. Then came the lunch featuring many of their delicious products. Rita is a true mastery Chef! Everything was incredible! Do not miss sampling Rita’s homemade jams! Wow!!!! Pairing perfectly with cheese. We ended up buying every variety she makes! …among other wonderful products. Last, but not least are the views! Wow!!! You can see much of Sicily below and all the way out to the sea. Wonderful place to watch the sunset. This is a MUST see place while visiting Sicily. Truly one of our highlights while visiting SicilyVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 28 May 2024
- Richard TBirmingham, United Kingdom146 contributionsSuch passion but watch the times you visitWe popped in on our way from Ragusa to Nolo. Late Monday morning, deserted! Just as we were about to leave, he arrived! What a force of nature, the enthusiasm, the knowledge, the vision! We had a 30 minute personal tour, no problem at all. No hard sell. They do tours (pre-arranged), they have evening “events” (not every night). I would recommend a visit, maybe best to email or call ahead just in case.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 August 2024

Come here to be enchanted by light, aromas, dreams, food & wine, but most of all, by Enrico himself – knowledgeable, entertaining, with a sublime dry hum our, he’s the heart of the operation – with plans as big as the endless views of the Mediterranean from his property. The varied inventive cuisine of his Wife Chef is an added bonus. Not to be missed if you have any interest in herbs, good food and beauty.

Location, taste, emotion, company, desire to dare and take risks!! This is contained in the evening spent at the Aromi... thanks to its owner and his desire to succeed, I would say that he has created a unique situation with ample possibility for further improvement!!!

Enrico and Rita provided my parents and me with the most quaint, fun, delicious afternoon at their farm! Enrico’s humor, passion and knowledge blend together seamlessly as he walks through the thousands of herb plants, inviting us to taste, to smell, and quizzing us on what we tried. His business vision is truly very neat to experience and see. Rita’s cooking was phenomenal! We had the nicest lunch on a hill overlooking the water, and came back to the states with great preserves to enjoy. Easily a highlight of our Sicilian vacation!

The place is definitely worth it. The owner fully expresses the passion he puts into his work, and it is certainly a reality that requires great sacrifices. Having said that, 30 euros per person for what we ate, also no. They offered us: boiled potatoes, bruschetta with tomato, bruschetta with avocado, bruschetta with courgettes, triangles of cheese, if you wanted you could put jam on top, and an omelette with broccoli. Dessert a pear cut into pieces with ricotta and almond grain. A truly tiring food, they can't fill you up with bread and bruschetta and I don't understand the aromas where I should smell them in dishes like this. Even just a taste of the first or second course was enough to make the experience worth the money requested. I found the 30 euros really excessive. Finally, I paid with a debit card, I asked for the tax receipt and I never received it. Not by message, not by email. If a customer asks for something, I feel it is my duty to satisfy him. I wouldn't go back. I just admire the place and the work to keep it that way.

WOW!!! We would put gli Aromi in the Top 3 places to visit when in southern Sicily. From the moment you arrive - it’s best to book but we were not that organized - Enrico, his wife Frida, and their team welcome you, and make you feel comfortable in their space. A more passionate man than Enrico you would struggle to find - he absolutely loves what he does, and makes you feel like you the first people he’s ever shown his work. His love of herbs, together with his innovative ideas, makes this a sensation of not just your eyes & nose, but of the heart! Thank you once again Enrico for an experience we will never forget. ❤️

A suggestive and welcoming place, full of local nature and a beautiful view of the coast. Relaxing hours hosted by Enrico (very nice and full of enthusiasm) who immersed us in this stunning olfactory journey full of curiosity. Good food, music and lots of greenery.

What an unexpected pleasure to go to Gli Aromi, to learn about the farm, the herbs, to taste the delicious treats made by Rita and to hear endless wonderful stories about how the farm came to be by Enrico, who has real passion for what he does. Be prepared for your nose to be in heaven. This experience is not the first thing that would come to your mind when you think of a trip to Sicily, but I highly recommend it for anyone who loves food, farming/gardening, and great company!

This was an experience all of its own! It was one of our favorite locations on our visit to the Ragusa area. The view itself is worth winding up the roads for - the sunset, the Mediterranean. But the sense of life given by the green herbs and flowers, the enthusiasm and vision of Enrico, and the mouthwatering food prepared by Rita (that involtini though!) made the experience extraordinary. Enrico was so gracious and welcoming that it seemed he had been waiting eagerly for weeks for our arrival. When we left the jams (flavored with herbs from the gardens) we intended to take and enjoy at home, he personally made sure they were delivered to the hotel. We were privileged to enjoy this little gem tucked up near Scicli - from the warm welcome and hearty singing to the ephemeral beauty of the caper flower

Took our family of eight adults and three children to a BBQ and aperitif at sunset at Gli Aromi. Although the herbs were past flowering in July, we had a very informative and entertaining tour of the farm, followed by a fantastic meal at sunset. Came away with some beautiful pottery made on site. To finish a great evening off we hit the dance floor and enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thoroughly recommended.

Yesterday we went to this wonderful place. We met Enrico, one of very few totally passionate people you meet and know after you talk to him for five minutes how fully dedicated he is to his ideas. We went to his place just outside of Scicli with the idea to get to know more about sicily herbs without calling or making appointments.
Upon arrival we parked the car and saw Enrico with his lovely dog walking up greeting us very warmly and offered to give us a private walk through his herbs garden. It was such an amazing experience what Enrico showed us and let us smell. It was an explosion of various flavours and tastes we honestly never experienced so intensely before, truly unimaginable!
The best of all was the deep knowledge of plants and aromas combined with his tremendously unique charming Sicilian personality and Humor. We could talk to him for hours and always be caught by his character and passion!
We really were lucky to take the trip and meet Enrico, who gave us a very inspiring insight into his world of herbs and plants. Really recommend this tour to everyone!!
Next time maybe if we are lucky we might also meet Enrico‘s wife Rita, which is a wonderful cook. Enrico told us about the great dishes she prepares with amazing combinations of the variety of herbs!

Ciao a tutti,

Buon viaggio
