A moment of silence
Jul 2020 • Friends
This place was so silent and beautiful in the inside. It’s worth a visit to slow down a little bit. Just amazing.

Worth a visit.

The Roman Catholic Basilica of San Cassiano stands on the site of the ancient 8th century Romanesque cathedral and was built in Baroque style in the late 17th century.
The bell-tower was built twice in the 18th century, because the first version collapsed.
From the outside, the cathedral doesn't look special, a marble stone parapet, brickwork facades with a tympanium on top.
The interior is worth a visit with its 18th-century marble altar and the 16th-century wooden statue of the Martyr Cassiano, patron of the town.

Not much to see here - this church is quite big, but it looks bare. There are some paintings, none of them very interesting of unmissable masterpiece.
