We have visited a few times but the huge stones not pebbles are a bit of a put off. YThere is quite a sharp drop off for none or weak swimmers. The view is stunning and there are some reasonable cafes/bars on the beach edge.

The beach is all pebble and slopes gently into the sea. Lovely views of Spinalonga. There is a 7 Euro charge for sun beds and a parasol andshops andbars close by.

One of my fav beaches in Crete- beautiful big stones that warm & massage you when you lie on them- beautiful cool water. Don’t miss a swim here!

Large pebbly beach. Bring some beach shoes as the pebbles are hard to walk on. The beach is clean and has a good view of Spinalonga.

We found this site in our guidebook as well as on TripAdvisor, but found little information about it anywhere else. Some posters mentioned snorkeling in the area, however, the water was so shallow in parts that we could not figure out how people did it...More
