Great walk.Enjoyed thoroughly. Unfortunately had a 7 year old boy who was not to keen. Canes were a sight to see.

I have been up the Rawhiti Cave about 20 times now and still enjoy it. - The 1st part of track is a nice easy walk up the valley alongside the dry river bed. - The 2nd part of the track is a steep track...More

A hard up hill track to a viewing platform in a huge cave with lots of cool formations. Worthwhile if you are up for it.

What a trip or should I say an adventure. I must for the adventurest or how blogs. All up the river , then 1 hour treak up the hill. AND what a hill. BUT THE VIEW OFF THE CAVE IS WELL WORTH IT. TAKE PLENTY...More

track bypass the Dry River of rocks and the last 80-90 metre of criss-crossing about 200+ metre elevation; can be wet & slippery after rain so need firm grip footwear; be mesmorised by the gothic like cathedral cave of stalactites of varying shapes and sizes;...More

Gut buster of a climb- But so glad we did- Wow! The climb up the hill is exactly that- a climb. It's steps- not a track. The History boards on site are great. I loved the photos that uncluded those adventurous women who made the...More
