Cute but Empty.

Out of the sixteenth handcrafted shops only three were open. I first visited in the afternoon but after seeing photos taken at night I return later to find only three shops open again. Looks better at night all lite up in the snow. So if your just interested in window shopping it’s right for you.

Beautiful village

Beautiful village with many small shops. A great shop for photo taking along with buying small souvenirs.

Worth a visit
Feb 2020
Some lovely local produce and souvenirs. Well worth the effort to make a visit to the Terrace. Hours are rather short and you should check openings prior to visiting. Night time is the best time

Crowded with tourists
Jan 2020
There are many tourists crowding this over-rated place, so you can't get a good photo of the place, much less experience the so-called "fairy tale" ambience in winter.

A bit crowded
Jan 2020 • Solo
Saturated with tourists. The candle shop has some novel designs, worth a visit. Guy in the blacksmith shop is very grumpy, seems to have an attitude problem. Stay away...

A handicraft haven transform to fairy tale scene in winter nights
Dec 2019
This area is just beside the Prince ski resort. There is several wooden huts each with a different skilled craftsman working on and selling their trinkets of art and souvenir. The price is targeted at tourists so most people go for the photo taking only. Truth be told, the scenery is only nice if it snows so unless you are staying in Furano and rented a car, its not really worth going.

Best souvenir street I’ve even seen
Jan 2020 • Couples
Right opposite new prince hotel. This place has many small wooden huts selling hand made crafts. Good for souvenir shopping. The place itself looks magical. Like right out of Frozen or Klaus

Beautiful huts
Jan 2020 • Family
This is a small village made up of around 15 huts hidden in the forest. They were all selling different products.

We came in the evening and the huts were beautifully lit up. It gave a magical feel.

The whole village was packed with tourists, so it was very difficult to take nice photos.

Can give it a miss
Dec 2019 • Family
This place is covered in the itinerary of our day tour. It looks pretty on photo. However, considering the drive up hill and down hill, in my personal opinion its ok to give it a miss if u are doing a self drive.
