Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This metal silhouette statue commemorates José Lucas Ortiz Mendoza (EL MAGO), The Magician. It stands on a roundabout, near Playa de Vueltas, which also bears his name. It is close to the Condesa, where he ran Kiosko Bar for many years.
He was born in Chipude in 1941 and died in June 2013 aged 72. He had lived in the area since the 1960s.
Throughout his life he was an avid guardian and exponent of Gomeran Folklore and was a well known and respected character.
On the inauguration day of the Statue, Folklore Groups from the island were invited to attend the ceremony and to beat their drums and chácaras in his honour.
