Visited Chateau des Enigmes whilst on holiday in the Dordogne. Had a good afternoon attempting to solve clues whilst practising French. Snack area was adequate for our needs. Would recommend a visit if within an hour or so drive from Pons.

This is essentially a treasure hunt around the grounds of a small chateau. It's well designed and will take around a couple of hours or a bit longer depending on how leisurely you are.

We went with 5 girls aged 6-8 all had a great time. Lots of interesting things for them to see and do. Adults were quickly bored however, so it turned into a very expensive and long trip for a picnic and snooze under a tree....More
We visited with our 2 (nearly 3) year old and had a great time. Whilst most of the clues were too complex for her, she had a great time spotting pirates, finding treasure chests and just generally running around in a beautiful setting.

A Brilliant 3 hours. Maybe a little young for 4/5 year olds but they still enjoyed it. Thought it was very well done. The certificate was great at the end. Some of the translations were a little strange...!
This is a beautiful setting for a puzzle game and I think it would work best for children aged about 8-12 or so. There are also areas where you can picnic outside. The clues are offered in both English and French which is good but...More
