Great safari ! Saw lots of wildlife including kingfishers ! Crocodiles and elephants to name but a few !! Jeeps can be bumpy and uncomfortable after a while !

It's hard to know where to place this review.. Given that you can't go into the park on foot and you have to be carried by an approved guide, it seems odd to have a load of different safari review pages. Cut to the chase......More

Pre booked safari from tour operator.Had jeep to ourselves with our driver as guide.Saw different small elephant groups as well as eagles, peacocks, and fully grown crocodiles at a distance, do remember your binoculars. A must do if in this area.

Skip Pinnawalla Orphange. They only have a couple of elephants, chained up and they only feed them. Seeing the difference between a happy free elephant at Udawalawe and a chained up one was astonishing and sad. Udawalawe entry is 500 rupee per person. The best...More

Its a flat dirt road and not that much bumpy. And the jeeps are not too bad and have really comfi seats. You can always tell the driver to drive a bit slow
