Beautiful house, lovingly restored and kept by National Trust and its volunteers. The house looks like the residents just left. All small things on their places, give a great glimpse how aristocrats lived in Britain in 19-20 centuries. Grounds are beautiful, with views to the...More

We were looking forward to viewing another castle, I wish it had been somewhere else. Noticeable was the lack of signs, directions and staff in the grounds. However the gift shop, tea room, nick-nacks and plant shop were fully staffed with staff outnumbering visitors 2...More

The house is very interesting with all its original furniture, books and photos. The castle is very picturesque surrounded by a moat that you can walk around.

We were lucky with the weather which helped, but what a lovely place for an afternoon. Beautiful ruins - mad example of Architectural vandalism, but the result is very scenic. And the obligatory National Trust tea rooms provided a very good cup of tea.

For reasonable condition moated castles Scotney is just gorgeous. The gardens most of the year round are stunning but Spring is the best time for colour. Such a beautiful place to walk around with the family.

Love this place, does not matter what age groups we go with, the weather, if there is an event in or not. Views stunning, garden changing the new playground is loved and the staff/volunteers always friendly and helpful.

Hello - if you intend on visiting a few National Trust sites it is worth while becoming a member. Individual membership $69 per year, couple is $114 and family is $120 per year.

No, it's too steep at the edges. The grounds are lovely for children to run about in though
