This is a nice garden in Rize that will allow you to sit and enjoy the green implantation and sample the Turkish tea, it is nicely organised with plenty of seatings, and highly located with beautiful views of Rize, on your way out you could buy packets of tea if you wish to take home.

We went there to get informed about the tea and try some. It is a nice garden in which the names of plants are written as in a botanical garden. Unfortunatelly it is very crowded and it is hard to find a place.

The tea is really nice, should be taken within a pot for the best taste. Also there is a store outside. We bought two local products of Çaykur brand which is not possible to find in the other cities except Rize.

Wonderful place to sit under a tree, drink tea and watch everyone else drinking tea. Gardens are very attractive. Tea not coffee is the national drink in Turkey and this is where it all started. Well done. The walk back down to Rize tests the legs (taxi on the way up which would have been a greater test).

Tea growing is a relatively new industry in Rize with first experimental plantations starting early 20th century. But the mild climate, fertile soil and lots of rain made this the perfect crop.
This spot used to be a tea plantation and you can still see a few plots on hillsides around it. Very popular with locals it is nice to join them, have tea and enjoy the Black Sea views.

A must-visit tea garden in Rize, with magnificent trees and plants. The view is amazing. Parking is free. However, during my last visit (2023), they removed the existing Ataturk bust. It never happened. Rize and Trabzon unfortunately fail in matters related to the savior and founder of the state.

Located on a hill. However, because of tall trees, it is not possible to see the sea. Service is poor. Ask the filtered tea, otherwise you can see the tea leave parts on top..

This is a great place to drink tea in Rize, you can have amazing views of many of the mountains and villages in the surroundings and the smell of fresh vegetation makes everything better, a good spot to take a rest after walking around Rize.

You can even see a mini fabric of tea which is very interesting as well.

You can bring to the place some Rize simit and other little things to eat while drinking your tea.

Ziraat botanical garden is on the site of one of the original tea plantations in Rize. It is sign-posted from the city and the roads winds up the steep hill side. There is parking at the site. On a dolmuş (mini bus) route from the city.
Views over the city, the Black Sea and the hills around with tea plantations on each of them. Drink tea in the peace of the garden or tea and cakes in the indoor cafe. Packets of tea available from the on-site shop. Small exhibition of tea factory machinery.
Signs of the sponsoring tea company at many points. Much of the tea in the garden had been replanted, so it should be more scenic in the coming year, the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye.
