This is a great beach located very close to the center of Orosei. We went several times during our stay in Orosei. It’s really big, beautiful sand and when we went there was almost no one else there. Fantastic!!!!

This is one of my favourite beaches. Endless sand and clean water. Where are the people? Very few to meddle with.

We were staying in Cala Gonone for ten days and on the 6th decided to have a drive out to this beach after reading TA comments. At first I was a little confused about where to park so I simply headed to the area marked Su Petrosa. This I think ended up being the best choice as it gives you all the options.
On entering by the sign Su Petrosa you can choose either to park for free (if there is a space) under the trees and simply walk 50 metres to the beach or cross the bridge and pay your 5 euros to park almost on the beach. It was easy - my only warning is the road to Cala Gonone not going through Orosei is a dirt track - in parts. We did it the once but decided to save the hire car!
Anyway thats the boring bit - this was undoubtedly one of the best beaches we have ever been to including those in Africa and India. The lovely sand, the beautiful scenery all around, the turquoise clear warm sea, the amazing lagoon area behind - I could go on and on it was that good.
It was so good and we were so relaxed we cancelled all other plans and went there the next three days as well. I believe we were lucky in that we went at the right time at end of June/beginning of July in that it was so quiet. One stretch we plonked ourselves on I counted only ten other couples in about a 200m stretch. There was the occasional beach seller but they were always polite and not pushy. It was heaven

We visited on a cloudy day and this beach was lovely. The down side it if you approach from the north end you get charged €5 to cross the bridge to access the parking area. If you come if from the south end there is no sign of being charged. Overall lovely long beach with several places along its length to buy snacks and drinks.

Great beach, blue water, trees if the sun is shining too hot. This is one of the nicest beaches I have seen during the vacation. And the beach was vacated... okay it was the month of May, but this was the first one without anyone else.
Note that in the high season you may have to pay for parking, but fair ennough for a place like this it seems.

We prefer a beach that is not crowded and that is not easy to find. On recommendation from our accommodation we headed here. So pleased we did. I’m sure we would not have known about it otherwise. It is 5 Euro car entry and well worth it. Just a few kilometres from Oresei, you drive into the area in a dirt road with the lake on one side, the mountains ahead and the beach on the other. So picturesque. We parked under the shade of one of the many trees and found the beach not crowded. It was convenient having toilets (clean, well maintained toilets). There was also a bar and cafe area although we didn’t use them. It was a very peaceful beach and despite the people dotted along, there was no noise. Well worth seeking out this beach if you want to escape the crowds.

Very nice, clean beach. Shade trees and picnic table there, plenty of parking and we went on a Sunday. It wasn’t to crowded. The water gets deep quickly so if you have little ones you need to watch them closely. Only €5 for a car full of us. Food and drinks available. It is a really nice spot.
