We popped in for a quick meal on a Friday night and everything about Mattie's was just excellent. Service, atmosphere and most of all the food. Traditional no nonsense grub superbly prepared. Well done you never fail to please .

Staff brilliant; lots of great comfort food; excellent pints. Loved sitting at the bar. Would not have liked the lounge! and as it got later (after 9pm) got a bit noisy with jukebox. But great local.
