Good beer. Haven’t been to a pub like this since the seventies. Huge roaring fire at the end of a small bar. Just what we needed after a long day at sea. Beer was good. Telling friends to visit if they are in the area.
I had been here before when it was the old management and I loved it. The new management are strange to say the least, you are unwelcome and if you have kids forget it. Horrible rude older lady on the bar and the supposed manageress...More

Came here in the summer for a drink and live music. It was excellent standing outside having a nice drink and hearing the live music . Will go back again soon hopefully . The staff were also nice and friendly
Absolutely disgraceful attitude from the bar lady who threatened to 'throw us out' for what can only be described as talking loudly at 10 o'clock! We did retaliate by singing Xmas songs loudly in jest! Honestly went out for a civilised Xmas works drink only...More
as visitors to the area we popped into this pub. It was so welcoming that after we meet some friends we went back there twice over the weekend.
The staff were such fun & the Landlady was redecorating the toilets & what a splendid job...More
