The old town has almost a full circuit of walls which make it very striking. Brick built in a warm colour they are lovely in the bright sunshine. The moat is complete.

The city walls of Castelfranco is the main attraction of the town. Unfortunately they are not preserved all the way around but the moat and remaining walls still give an impressive look into the medieval town.

Never tired read and visiting great history. Great Wall along with the river and a lot little duck swimming on it, make this town more beautiful.

given the small size of the walls in Castelfranco this is a great walk for all ages with a beautiful view of the town where at the same time you can find whatever you need from food, nightlife and attractions for kids (merry-go-round)

Magical place specially early in the mornings or in the evenings. also I recommend to visit around the castle the days where Market is on (believe it is twice a week). It is well illuminated if you visit in the evenings....quiet enough to feel you...More
